I’m Pranali, a maternity photographer based in Reading, Berkshire. My own journey into motherhood completely shifted my perspective on life and many priorities changed along the way. One of the most life-changing moments? Purchasing my very first DSLR almost 13 years ago, while I was expecting — and I’ve been hooked ever since.

You can choose the experience that speaks to you most. I started as a natural light photographer, but the UK’s ever-changing weather has taught me to expertly use external lighting in those gloomy days of winter — ensuring your images always turn out beautiful.
Each photoshoot is bespoke, personalised to your needs and thoughtfully designed to create the dream images you’ve always envisioned.
How does it work?
No matter which session you choose, I’ll be there to gently guide you through it — so you don’t have to worry about a thing. I know how it feels… the mix of excitement, exhaustion, and all the emotions that come with this stage. These photoshoots aren’t just about pretty pictures; they’re a little chance to slow down, feel beautiful, and celebrate the incredible journey you’re on. Because you truly deserve that.
Consultation call (20 minutes)
We’ll chat on Zoom or phone about your due date, the look you love and any worries you have. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll book your date and handle simple paperwork. There’s no pressure to commit just because you enquire.
Maternity wardrobe & styling guidance
I’ll help you choose outfits that flatter your bump and photograph beautifully. Soft, flowing fabrics, neutral or earthy tones and simple textures that feel like you. You can also borrow from my collection of curated maternity gowns if you’d like, so you don’t have to buy a new dress just for the shoot.
Fitting appointment
If you like the idea of maternity gowns, we’ll have a short fitting to try on gowns from my wardrobe and finalise what you’ll wear, few days before your photoshoot. So, you arrive on the day already feeling prepared and confident.
Your photoshoot (60–90 minutes)
Outdoor maternity sessions are usually at sunrise or sunset for soft, flattering light and cinematic portraits. Home or studio sessions are normally in the first half of the day. I’ll guide you into relaxed poses and simple movements so nothing feels stiff or awkward.
Reveal & design appointment
Around three weeks later, we’ll meet online or in person to view your finished images. You’ll choose your favourites and decide how you’d like to enjoy them. Album, prints, wall art or digital files; with my help to design something that fits your home and budget.

Professional hand curation (I select best images and deliver quality over quantity)
Fine art editing - colour graded (NO sepia image tones), retouched, print ready, without loosing the authenticity of images.
Design consultation (to show you every image, make sure you are happy and discuss your print options with proofs of what it would look like on your own walls)
Access to Luxury fine art albums and prints, heirloom print boxes and wall art.

I'm happy to travel for your photoshoot! For sessions more than 18 miles away from Shinfield, Reading, travel charges will apply.
Booking fees will secure your date and time with me and cover the time of your photoshoot. The images need to be purchased separately. Clients invest anywhere between £450 and E2000 on print collections and wall arts and digitals.

The ideal time for a maternity session is between 27 and 34 weeks — when your bump is beautifully round, and you’re still comfortable enough to move and pose with ease. If you are late to enquire, Simply check with me. Every pregnancy is different and we’ll schedule your session when it feels right for you.
Booking these sessions early also helps in case of unforeseen circumstances, doctors appointments or weather. We will still have time to reschedule if needed in such scenarios. -
