Hello and welcome — I’m Pranali, a newborn photographer based in Reading, Berkshire.

I believe babies belong right where they feel safest — in the arms of their parents. My heart is drawn to capturing honest, tender moments in the comfort of your own home, where you’re snuggling, soothing, and simply soaking in the wonder of your little one. The awe of holding your baby for the first time, the softness of their skin, that unforgettable newborn scent, and the tiny details that so easily slip away with time; My sessions are all about preserving that quiet magic — the kind you feel deep in your soul but might struggle to put into words.

In those first months, most of life happens at home. That’s why I love photographing families in their own space, creating images that feel deeply personal, framed by the very place where your story is unfolding. Often, all we need is one good window light, and I gently enhance it with studio light when needed to keep everything looking soft and natural.

THE EXPERIENCE

The Consultation

You can book your 15-minute consultation with me, where we can discuss how you would like your story to be told. The consultation and home visit before the photoshoot day allow me to get to know your family a little better and help me capture those little things that matter most to you. A home visit also allows me to see the natural light available in your home and plan the shoot. These are bespoke photo shoots, so don’t hesitate to ask if you have any unique ideas in mind about how you'd like your family to be captured. If you're happy, we'll proceed with signing some paperwork and booking your date! You will be guided every step of the way.

Stying help

You will be sent a styling guide to help you choose the best outfits for your session, followed by a Zoom consultation a week before your shoot to reconfirm your wardrobe choices.

The Photoshoot

The actual photoshoot is usually done in the first half of the day, lasts approximately 2 to 3 hours, and is wholly baby-led. You don’t have to worry about taking extra time if the baby needs feeding or diaper changes, it’s understandable and considered. The photoshoot is not to add extra stress on your already busy days, but rather to slow down and enjoy your family and children.

The Reveal

Three weeks after the photoshoot, you will be invited to a viewing of your images, or I may come to you. This is when you will view your beautiful portraits for the first time and choose your favourites. We will help you choose the right products that will go with the decor of your home and the size of your wall space.

Investement

A £150 creative fee would be required at the time of booking to hold your date and time and is non-refundable. The rest will depend on the print package that you would like to go for.
