I know what it feels like to stand in front of a camera and feel completely exposed.

For years, I avoided being photographed. I always relied on my brain to prove my worth, because I never thought I looked good enough. I'd dodge the lens, made excuses, convinced myself it didn't matter. I was too busy overachieving in other areas to compensate for the one place I felt I fell short.

That discomfort is why I do this work now.

I've watched women walk into my studio carrying doubt—and watched their eyes light up when they see themselves through my lens for the first time. I've also photographed women who knew exactly who they were, and helped them discover new dimensions of that strength.
